Did you feel it? A small – to – moderate earthquake M4.2 occurred at bedtime (10:26pm CST) or 04:26hrs UTC. The focal depth was a very shallow 3.3 kms. The epicenter is approximately 6.4 polar degrees (or 482 miles) away from Station E1TX. No major damages or injuries have been reported at this time. The map, below, is an interpretation of the intensity experienced by citizens. The seismogram shows a distinct “P” wave arriving first followed by the much higher amplitude “S” wave.
